Our Programs
SBVDRC provides drug and alcohol treatment services as well as drug testing. We are a community corrections center serving court-involved and at-risk youth and adults across Hampshire, Hardy, and Pendleton Counties.
Guiding Youth Toward Positive Change
To guide youth toward positive change through accountability, family involvement, skill development, and community-based intervention services.
Our goal is to decrease the recidivism rate in our local communities and to assist the judicial system with supervision of clients with a criminal history. We work collaboratively with courts, probation, schools, MDT teams, and families to support long-term success.

Guiding Young People Forward
The South Branch Valley Juvenile Day Report Program is a structured community-based program serving court-involved and at-risk youth. Our program focuses on accountability, supervision, skill development, positive decision-making, family involvement, and community support.
We work collaboratively with courts, probation, schools, MDT teams, and families to support long-term youth success — keeping young people in their communities while building the skills they need to thrive.
Eligibility
- Youth referred by the circuit or magistrate court
- Adjudicated or pre-adjudication with court approval
- Resident of Hampshire, Hardy, or Pendleton County
- Able to participate in structured daily programming

Rebuilding Lives in the Community
Our adult criminal program offers a structured alternative to incarceration for adults involved in the court system. Participants receive daily supervision, life skills programming, and connections to community resources — all while maintaining employment, family ties, and community involvement.
The program is a minimum of six months. Clients progress through phases based on risk level and cannot graduate until all fees are paid and required community service or recovery meetings are completed.
Eligibility
- Adults referred by the circuit or magistrate court
- Pre-trial, probation, or post-conviction placement
- Resident of Hampshire, Hardy, or Pendleton County
- Able to meet daily reporting requirements
Supporting Families Through CPS
We work closely with the Department of Human Services' CPS Workers to serve adults with active CPS cases. Our program provides the structured support, treatment, and skill-building that families need to meet DoHS expectations and work toward reunification.
Our staff coordinate directly with CPS Workers throughout the process — providing regular progress updates and ensuring that programming aligns with each family's case plan goals.
Eligibility
- Adults with an active CPS case referred through DoHS
- Referred by a CPS Worker or DoHS case manager
- Resident of Hampshire, Hardy, or Pendleton County
- Able to participate in structured programming

Direct DoHS Coordination
Our staff work hand-in-hand with DoHS CPS Workers throughout each client's case — providing regular updates, attending meetings when needed, and ensuring programming supports the family's reunification goals.
Program Phases
The adult program is a minimum of six months. Clients progress through phases based on risk level. A client cannot graduate until all fees are paid and required community service or local recovery meetings are completed.
